Finding Your Strategy

One of the benefits of a company such as ACN is its age—this year at Charlotte, NC the company celebrates its 20th anniversary. This is an incredible milestone to be sure, and makes it one of the exceptions of network marketing. Many companies have a much shorter lifespan, especially in the network marketing industry. Without bragging too much, the point is that a company with a history can boast a system that shows success. Customer acquisition is key, as well as leadership as opposed to management—which I’ll be adding some detail to later in the upcoming weeks.  They have found what works for them, and they make no apologies for how often they will present that gameplan to their people.

The system in place has been one tested and retested over two decades, with many failures and struggles along the way. If anything, coming into such a company at this time in its lifespan is a stroke of luck to newcomers—after all, the headache of building strategies and networks is already in place.

But what if you’re on your own? Does one strategy work for every business? No, of course not. However, the good news is that very often what works in one business will work in any number of others. Hopefully that’s why you’re here on Shinobi Direct—to share and engage in new ideas and actions. We live in an era that makes research so much simpler, here are several (free!) places to search for the testimonials of professionals you can incorporate into your marketing efforts:

  • Podcasts on iTunes
  • Search for Keywords relevant to your business on Tumblr or WordPress
  • Look for Facebook or Twitter pages to follow that offer free advice and resources
  • Sales/network marketing community message boards

Most of all, don’t ignore advice from people outside of your industry. You never know when a gameplan for one business will apply to yours unless you have an open mind. Just a little bit of tweaking can go a long way, even though sales is not as relevant to network marketing as one might think I’ve taken a great bit of direction from sales leaders.

Good luck in your endeavors!
